Motor Mecca Inverell wins STIHL Dealer of the Year Award

IT was a timely boost for Graeme and Toni Fraser when they were awarded the STIHL Dealer of the Year Award. The couple run Motor Mecca in Inverell and were recognised as the top dealer in regional New South Wales. The business provides outdoor power equipment, accessories and gardening machines from STIHL.

'We couldn't actually get to the awards night because my father was quite ill at the time,' Mr Fraser said. 'So they actually came here to the shop and presented it to us, which was quite a thrill. I was lost for words when we found out, we definitely didn't expect it and it's nice for everyone here to be recognised.' There were up against more than 100 stores from outside Sydney.

STIHL judges the award on sales growth, staff training in technical and retail, customer experience, showroom presentation, local area marketing and business growth. It acknowledges quality customer service and 'can do' attitude and celebrates the dealership's dedication to quality service and product range, resulting in better product knowledge and awareness in Inverell and the New England region.

We're the largest lawn mower retail shop for Stihl in Inverell and we mainly specialise in outdoor power equipment. We've grown the business over the years and I think they look at how you've performed over the 12 months.'
